Please watch your Phonics Lesson below. Make sure you are prepared with a whiteboard and pen or pencil and paper. Remember to have a listen to the Phase 3 jolly phonics song to warm up your brains first! If you would like to continue with your Phonics learning, visit Phonics play where you will find lots of super fun Phonics games to play which will help you to practise and apply your sound knowledge and blending skills.
During a normal day in the classroom, the children enjoy some independent time to play and choose their own activities. This time helps to build their vocabulary, language skills and can help them develop a curiosity about the world around them. If you are able to question your child during this time this may help them to discover, or test out a new idea.
Enjoy a rest from the day's activities and listen, and sing, to some nursery rhymes whilst enjoying a piece of fruit and a drink of water.
Please use some time before lunch to read, or share, a book. Continuing reading every day is crucial during this time and will help your child to consolidate the sounds we have previously learnt. Please use the log in for Oxford Owl to find a book, or alternatively read one you have at home.
Make sure to enjoy some time relaxing and eating something nice for lunch. Try and maybe get outside for a short walk, or a run around, to make sure you are getting ready for the afternoon.
Please watch the video below for your Maths lesson today.
Enjoy some time to independently choose, and play.
