Read the two articles linked here, keep both open once you have read. Feel free to make some notes as you go.
Using the information on these pages, note the characteristics and details about specific areas and inhabitants of coastline, lowland and mountainous regions. A suggested template has been provided.
Following last week’s reading (Bitesize article linked here) and research done this week, write some bullet-point notes on three important city states. Suggested states are on the same template, but you may choose which three.
At the bottom of the ‘Geography of Ancient Greece link’, there are links to Ancient Greece maps that may be useful to illustrate learning and appreciate where each region was located.
Read the BBC Bitesize article on 'Who were the Ancient Greeks?'
Using the information on the BBC page and the PDF document attached to this web page titled 'Ancient Greece Timeline Facts', create your own historical timeline of key events.
The timeline can be created electronically or by hand. Try to make it as eye-catching as possible, with images to illustrate the facts you have learnt.
This will provide a background and appreciation for who the Ancient Greeks were and why they may have worshipped the Gods and Goddesses you researched last week.
