Next week in English, we will be writing a non-chronological report about ways to protect our oceans and why they need protecting. Any research that children can carry out at home about this would be great.
Here are the spelling words for this week which are all homophones. They will be tested next Friday (4th February).
If your child has been asked to learn their spellings from the list of high frequency words, their spellings for this week are as follows. These will also be tested next Friday (4th February).
Your child will be aware of the times table they should concentrate on learning this week. If they are not sure, please ask them to check the board in their classroom.
These will be tested during our maths lesson on Wednesday.
It would be a great help if your child could also continue to practice their use of long multiplication and division using the bus stop method.
Please focus on learning spellings, times tables and of course, reading each week.
Like last term, for an additional challenge (and the opportunity to earn some extra house-points) your child may also like to choose an item to complete from the grid below.
We hope you enjoy the challenges!
