We have had a really positive start back to school and the children in years 6,5,4 and 3 have settled very well with their teaching teams, in their new newly refurbished classrooms. Our theme this month is Growth Mind-set and the children have been considering what this means for their own well-being and learning style.
With the help of Friends of Fermor School (FoFS), we have been able to replace some of our worn out smart boards, with smart screens, giving the children a crystal clear picture of their leaning, from every angle in the classroom.
We welcome all of our in-year starters and are overwhelmed by how well these children, in particular, have settled. Outside, the children have also loved meeting our new students: Brooke, Warren, Forest and Gill!
New playtime routines and lunches have needed a little adjustment to meet everyone's requirements, but the children are responding incredibly well to to the space and time available to each Pod.
We would like to thank everyone, especially our fantastic parents for responding so well, when we have had to tweak our routines, to ensure we are adhering to Government guidelines and doing all we can to keep everyone safe.
We very much looking forward to year 1 and 2 joining us on Monday and to EYFS joining us later next week, following their familiarisation visits.
