This term in Geography, we will be learning about biomes. A biome is a large region of the Earth that has a certain climate and certain types of living things. The plants and animals of each biome have characteristics that help them to survive in their particular biome.

Some of these biomes can be further divided into more specific categories, such as: freshwater, marine, savanna, tropical rainforest, temperate rainforest, and taiga.
For their home learning project, we would like the children do complete an informative poster, model or brochure about one of the major biomes. Please can the children bring this into school by Monday 7th December so that they can present them to the class during that week. We really look forward to seeing the children’s creations.
