We have listed below the subjects that are to be taught today. As a recommendation we suggest you start the day with the phonic lesson followed by the English lesson, Maths lesson and finish off the day with Geography. There is also a story time story for the children to listen to. Obviously we encourage you to take plenty of breaks in between each subject and work at a pace that suits you. Each lesson has either a video or powerpoint to accompany it.
This term our topic is Castles and to consolidate their United Kingdom learning today we will be briefly examining a few castles found in the United Kingdom. Please follow the powerpoint and discuss this with your child where you can. We have also included a blank map of the United Kingdom, can the children locate these castles on the map by looking at which country these castles are in? Can the children remember the four countries of the United Kingdom? You do not have to print off the map, alternatively you can go on the following website https://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/earth/
and zoom onto the UK. Can the children tell you any useful information about the UK? Can they remember what food they ate from each country? Can they identify the capital cities?
