Reading

Please read with your child daily, if possible, and record in the yellow Reading Record.

Times Tables

Please use Times Tables Rock Stars, if you still have your login, or access the many games available on the Topmarks website: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/

This week we will be focusing on the 10's. Please make sure that your child realises that the multiplication symbol does not mean that you add the numbers together. Multiplication is repeated addition. 3x4 is the same as 3+3+3+3 and 4+4+4.

Topic Based Task

As part of our Stone Age History topic we have had a go at our own cave drawings. Now try making your own natural paint using foods. Below are some suggestions. Try making and painting with one colour but you can of course experiment with more if you wish. Take a photo of your picture or bring it in to share with the class.

Suggested foods:

  • beets (deep red)
  • cranberries (light red)
  • blueberries (blue/purple)
  • purple grapes (purple)
  • red cabbage (purple)
  • yellow onion skin (warm orange/brown)
  • red onion leaves (medium green)
  • spinach leaves (yellow/green)
  • brewed coffee and black tea will provide shades of brown.
