Spellings
Below are this week's spelling lists. Spellings are tested weekly on a Monday. Please note their groups may change throughout the year depending on their progress. Your child will have a note in their Contact Book if their spelling group has changed.
This week please encourage your child to write out a coherent sentence for the contracted form words on the spelling list, and also they should write out the same sentences but using the full form as well. The last two spellings are History topic words.
i.e: I can’t go to the park today.

Reading
Please read with your child daily, if possible, and record in the yellow Reading Record.
Times Tables
Please use Times Tables Rock Stars, if you still have your login, or access the many games available on the Topmarks website: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/
This week we will be focusing on the 10's. Please make sure that your child realises that the multiplication symbol does not mean that you add the numbers together. Multiplication is repeated addition. 3x4 is the same as 3+3+3+3 and 4+4+4.
Topic Based Task
As part of our Stone Age History topic we are learning about our earliest ancestors and how they found out how to make fire which meant that they could then cook their food. Let your imagination loose and make/draw/sculpt or paint a fire using a medium/mediums of your choice. You may wish to make this 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional and even add into your creation some real sticks. Take photographs or bring in to show.
