Please continue to support your child in learning their weekly spellings that will be recorded in their contact book each Monday. Please scroll down for each week's list. Please speak to the Year 4 team for any further information.
This final week gives them a chance to reflect on the spellings that they are still finding difficult, before moving on to the Year 5 and 6 spelling lists. They will be looking through their books to select the most commonly misspelt 10 words. However, Emperors will have homophones to learn as follows:

This week the children will be getting their spelling assessments back to copy up the words that they weren't able to spell yet. These are the 10 most commonly misspelt words but they may be slightly different to the ones that your child will bring home in the contact book as these will be personal to them. We would have done this today however the number of absentees due to the extreme weather meant that we will share their scores on Monday.
Keep trying!

This week we have been assessing their spelling of the Year 3-4 words before they move on to Year 5. The spelling list is a combination of all the spelling patterns that they have learnt this year but please take the opportunity to rehearse the spellings of those Year 3-4 lists as well over the half term break.
Well done to those who are now beginning work on the Year 5 spellings!
Keep up the great work.

Happy New Year to you all!
Here are the new spellings, though for gladiators it is a recap from a few week's ago as they didn't have much of a chance to work on these homophones in school. Happy learning!
