Feedback

When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.

Acts 11:23

Parent/Carer Questionnaire Feedback 2023-2024:

Thank you for responses shared during this academic year to provide feedback on our school. This feedback is invaluable and we are appreciative of the time and effort taken to complete our questionnaires to inform our future plans and ensure a strong relationship is maintained between home and school.

We are delighted that from these responses, the majority of parents/carers are pleased with all that we are doing:

* Over 99% report their child feels safe at school.

* 99% would recommend Sir Henry Fermor to others.

* 99% report that their child is happy at school.

* 98% feel the school provides opportunities for wider development (including clubs, trips, visitors etc).

* 95% know how to support their child at home.

For full details of the analysis of feedback, please see the bottom of the page.

There are always areas that we can do even better in, and we will continue to strive to offer the best opportunities to all children and support parents/carers with their child's primary school experience.

Parent  and visitor comments:

"Amazing support given by all staff when we raised a concern. Kept up-to-date at all times. All the teachers and staff we have had throughout our children's time at Fermor have always been so kind, friendly and helpful. Just overall a fab school with amazing staff!" (March 2024)

"Your SEND support is amazing! So glad a place came up for us as it is so refreshing to have a school feel like support." (March 2024)

"We are absolutely happy with Sir Henry Fermor. The teachers and office staff are absolutely supportive, always. We are really satisfied with the teaching, as far as we understand the teaching sessions are really interactive which promotes overall development of children." (Parent of children in Years 1 and 3, March 2024)

"Thank you for the many varied opportunities you provide at Fermor - developing the whole child, and for all. Staff are fantastic and supportive." (Year 6 parent, March 2024)

"The school has always been supportive with everything regarding my child's education and emotional well-being, especially over the last year." (Oct 2023)

"Thank you so much for opening your lovely school to visitors.  Brilliant History display and polite and smiling children; thank you for all the effort you have all put in." Visitor to the History Wall.

"This is my 5th (and last!) child to attend SHF school and I can't praise the school enough, throughout the past 20 years.  It will be bittersweet when he leaves."  Year 6 parent.

"We attended your open evening last night and I just want to say what a lovely time we had. The young lad who took us around was fabulous and we got a great feel of the school from him. He is a great asset to your school. My daughter loved the reception teachers.  We are very impressed with how far the school has come along. I would be pleased to have my daughter join you." Parent of new starter September 2019.

"What a wonderful legacy for today's children.  We are very proud to be a part of the Fermor Family."  Parent of year 3 and year 1 children.

"Please to attend my old school and see the good exhibits.  Sir Henry Fermor would have been pleased to know that the school is prospering - he did a lot for the people of Crowborough."  Phillip Fermor, ex-pupil.

"We were so impressed when we came down to our office on Sunday morning to see the twins working hard on the computers to produce the attached power point presentations.  They both did this on their own accord and we were blown away with what they have learnt to do in such a short time. Thank you both so much for inspiring our children."  Year 5 parent.
