A very warm welcome to Sir Henry Fermor Church of England Primary School
Sir Henry Fermor is an incredible, two-form entry Church of England school in Crowborough, for children aged 4-11, established in the town of Crowborough in 1744. Our site offers two playgrounds, a large field, forest school facilities and an indoor swimming pool.
As the Headteacher of Sir Henry Fermor Church of England Primary School, it is a pleasure to welcome you to our website - a window into our friendly, thriving school. Our inspirational curriculum and safe, Christian environment, ensures each individual is valued and nurtured. From here, our school motto is born - Inspire, Believe, Achieve.
Our vision is that the development of the whole person, with no hand left unheld, is at the heart of everything that we do:
Sir Henry Fermor enables everyone to succeed; as Jesus teaches through the parable of The Lost Sheep: no one is left behind. Inspiring children and adults, believing in God at the heart of all we do, through Christ’s love and guidance; all in the Sir Henry Fermor family flourish, achieving fullness.
We have strong links with the community by regularly visiting our local church, participating in competitions (such as the swimming gala) and contributing to community and charity events.
We aim to serve our community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice, promoting Christian values through the experience we offer to all of our pupils. We welcome applications from all members of our community, with a respect of the Christian ethos of our school and its importance to our community.
Our dedicated staff provide a supportive yet challenging learning environment, engaging children as curious learners to realise their potential. Strong, positive relationships are held between home and school, and we are proud to be part of The Tenax Schools Trust.
