Term 5 New Unit: Journalistic reports and recounts

This term we will be looking at reports and recounts. Our new model text is about a tornado that struck a fantasy place.  See below for the model text and text map and challenge your child to retell the piece from this to develop their oracy.

Term 4 Unit - Descriptions in Warning Stories

This term we are specifically focusing on descriptive writing in warning stories and our final piece of work will be to write one for a Year 5 child.

Below is the model text that they have now learnt orally.  This week we are analysing the features so that they are able to use them in their stories.

Explanation Unit weeks  4 - 6
