The Choir

The School Choir is an after school club for all Key Stage 2 on a Thursday from 15:15 to 16:15. We have great fun singing a variety of songs. Last year, we even performed at the Royal Albert Hall!

We perform at some of the key church services, such as the Christmas Carol concert and the Civic Carol Service in addition to other events throughout the year, including carol singing at local nursing homes like Dalling House and at the school Fairs. Our repertoire is varied ranging from songs from musicals, to sacred music and pop.

This term we will be performing at the "Big Sing" with lots of other East Sussex schools at the Glyndebourne opera house.

Recorder club

Recorder club will be held on a Tuesday after school from 3.15 until 4.15.

All KS2 children are welcome regardless of previous music experience and we have plenty of recorders and music to share round, so you do not need to buy anything.

Last year we performed at the Summer Fair and in worship, along with introducing the Celebration of Music concert at the end of the year.

Orchestra

This is an exciting new club from September 2024 and will take place on a Monday from 3.15-4.15. All KS2 children who have individual instrumental lessons are welcome, but children can also join to play the percussion parts if they do not already play a standard instrument. We are hoping to build up to a performance in the Spring term.
