Times Tables

Welcome to the maths home learning page.

Your child will receive their log in for the TimesTables Rock Stars website in their contact book this week and we would like them to start practicing their tables throughout the year as regularly as possible.

To promote their enthusiasm our first home learning task is to complete a times tables tournament against the parallel class in Year 3! So come on, lets get winning - you have until Friday 13th to score as much as possible for your class team.

We have been counting in steps of 10s and 100s this week to recap our understanding of place value.  below are some of the games they can play at home to increase their fluency:

Well done for all your hard work on times tables rock stars pages. You are really doing well learning your tables.

To prepare for your maths quizzes in Term 6 please also review your mental calculations by playing these games:

Well done to 3MJ who won the last rockstar tournament - though it was quite a battle!  3AJ will get the chance for a come back as we will set another tournament in Term 5.

Congratulations to our top speedy rockstars in Year 3:

Alfie Button (who is in 3rd place across the school)

Laura Stanchev (who is in 8th place)

Your child should still be able to log in to times tables Rockstars as they did in Year 2, however we have been informed that there may be a problem with this at the moment.  We will endeavor to sort this by the end of the week but if you are still having trouble with your username and password after Friday then please note this in their contact book. .
