End of Week 7 (19th December 2025)

You'll be pleased to know that no homework has been set over the Christmas Holidays.  We hope you are able to enjoy the time to rest, relax and recharge!

Maybe find a good book to enjoy reading too!

End of week 6 (set 12th December)

We would like the children to focus on the following pages of their CGP books this week:

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling - pages 56 and 57 (punctuating speech) 

We have chosen not to set a reading comprehension again this week as we would like to really encourage the children to spend time reading for pleasure and developing the range of different texts they enjoy.  We continue to practise reading comprehensions in class and will set comprehensions for homework again in the new year.

End of week 5 (set 5th December)

We would like the children to focus on the following pages of their CGP books this week:

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling - pages 38 to 40 (sentence practice and commas in lists) 

 

Please also continue to read for pleasure and to remember to discuss what you are reading if possible.

End of week 4 (set 28th November)

We would like the children to focus on the following pages of their CGP books this week:

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling - pages 36 and 37 (sentence punctuation - focused on Capital letters, full stops, question marks and exclamation marks) 

Comprehension - pages 12 and 13 (this comprehension is focused on two poems about the seasons and the children have received some pre-teaching)

 

Whilst the books do have answers in the back we will go over the work with the children on Friday to ensure that any questions can be addressed.

End of week 3 (set 21st November)

We would like the children to focus on the following pages of their CGP books this week:

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling - pages 30 and 31 (writing for your audience) and page 66 (layout devices)

Whilst the books do have answers in the back we will go over the work with the children on Friday to ensure that any questions can be addressed.

End of week 2 (set 14th November)

We would like the children to focus on the following pages of their CGP books this week:

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling - pages 24 and 25 (Active and Passive voice)

Comprehension - page 10-11 (Cider with Rosie)
